Meet Susan
Living in Victoria, British Columbia for the first twenty-five years of her life, Susan decided to take the plunge when the big city came knocking on her door and she's been in and around the Toronto area ever since (although she's a B.C. girl at heart!).
In her personal life, Susan always enjoys going the extra mile when entertaining. Whether it is for an intimate dinner or her annual Oscars party, making guests feel like they're experiencing an event is important.
Some time between planning her own wedding and working for a major T.V. & film industry professional organization (where she coordinated cross-Canada meetings, parties & dinners as well as assisted in the annual Awards Gala), she realized she had a talent.
After leaving her job (and with a little encouragement from friends), she decided to pursue opening her own business. She's worked hard at building credentials and researching what potential clients will need and expect. Designing that perfect event becomes a mission with her!
Susan is a recent graduate of the Self-Employment Benefits Program funded by the Canadian Government. There she attended very fast-paced classes aimed at helping small businesses succeed. She has been certified by the National Institute of Weddings where she completed a course for bridal consultants. She is also involved in other organizations such as the Whitby Chamber of Commerce, the Association of Bridal Consultants and the Whitby Chapter of Women in a Home Office.
While Moments That Shine loves weddings, Susan is happy to report the company also loves to help clients with any organization of meetings, fundraisers, fashion shows... you name it!
