Meet SusanThank you so much for the fine job you did to assist us with our annual Christmas Event. I was most impressed how with a lot of imagination and little or no financial resources you transformed a drab classroom into a merry environmernmt. The tables from the long serving table to the individual tables were admired by the 80 plus guests. Thank You so much. I look forward to calling on you for other opportunities.

When I first started chatting with Susan I immediately felt her sincerity and warmth. Our first communication was one in which Susan was providing me with advice and guidance on the search for my wedding gown. While I won't go into the details here I feel it is important to note that Susan was able to ease my fears and provide sound advice in only a few lines of correspondence.
After several conversations Susan she prompted me to take a look at her new website which had recently been launched. Wow, what a website! Susan has truly done a marvelous job of pulling together all her areas of expertise through this site and it was a pleasure to browse through it. While browsing the invitation section of the website I came across a Save the Date card that stopped me in my tracks. I had been trying to put together a similar design and much to my disappointment I had been unable to pull it off. Seeing it there on the page I knew I had to act. Working with Susan on this project was a delight. She was incredibly flexible, always available and I never had any doubt that I'd be thrilled with the final product and indeed I was not. Having showed off the final product to other friends and family they too are amazed with her talent and skill and I have been happy to pass along Susan's contact information for them to use for their own needs.
The last thing I want to say about Susan is this ... This is Susan's business and she's off to an incredible start, but know that when you are working with Susan you are not just working with a professional you are working with someone who truly cares about you and the final product. Whether that be your invitation, your jewelry piece or your wedding day - you are in the hands of a friend you didn't know you had.

Justin and I first hired Susan to be our wedding co-ordinator just for the big day. But then 2 weeks before our wedding day, I had to start a new job and I ended up needing Susan and her services more than I anticipated.
She became a huge part of the whole process in the last 2 weeks leading up to it which also included creating my wedding programs, decorating my wedding cookie favours and setting up the reception banquet.
When I look back on our pictures, Justin and I firmly agree that the day would not have gone so smoothly had it not been for Susan's keen eye for detail, professionalism and organization.

Working with Susan at Moments that Shine has been an incredible experience. Lawrence and I were faced with the daunting task of organizing our wedding in three months when we were already busy with so many other things in our lives.
When we spoke with Susan about our dilemma, she quickly reassured us that it would work out fine. Her professionalism, knowledge, enthusiasm, and creativity have made what was a daunting task a truly memorable and stress-free one.
All of our friends and family have all commented on the beautiful invitations and the venue that was chosen for our special day. She has provided guidance to us every step of the way, kept us organized, helped us figure out what was important to us for the wedding, and offered us creative ways to save on costs without taking away from the day.
We would recommend Susan and Moments that Shine to anyone looking to organize an event big or small! She will definitely be the first person we would call for our next event.

Thank You!
I would like to thank all of you for surprising me with a spa day last Monday. You continue to show me how much you care for and support me, and how much love our new baby will have once he gets here. The gifts will be put to great use!
Thanks especially to Susan for hosting the wonderful event.
Love and thanks.

I attended a wonderfully and expertly planned party this past fall that was thrown for friends of mine. The party was for their 50th wedding anniversary and since it was a surprise to the couple, the plans were quite complicated. The party went off without a hitch.
The couple arrived to take their daughter out with them for a special dinner only to find the house filled with every one of their family members, young and old. Susan made special invitations informing all the guests of the secret party. She contacted family in Scotland and secured telegrams, letters, and postcards with greetings from long lost cousins, aunts, and uncles. Other surprise gifts included congratulatory letters and hats from the couples' favorite sports teams. Susan wrote, requested, and received in time for the party, letters of recognition of 50 years together from the Prime Minister, the Premier of B.C., and the Mayor of Victoria.
Susan also kept a constant and beautiful theme throughout the party. As gold is the tradition on a 50th wedding anniversary, gold it was. The serving platters, charger plates, picture frames, attendance book, and cutlery were all various shades of gold. Susan had sifted through many old pictures and constructed a time line by talking to the couples' daughters. These pictures filled the golden frames and were placed on the mantle for all of the guests to peruse. Many other pictures had been requested from family members and mat boards were constructed by Susan to showcase 50 amazing years. I watched family members laugh and cry throughout the evening as everyone reminisced about the past.
The meal was a tremendous hit. What to serve was initially a problem as the couple can be quite picky about food. Susan had some wonderful suggestions and the "picky eater" raved over the food, saying it was the best he had ever eaten. The other guests also loved the lavish spread that covered a long dining room table. Each recipe was both mild enough for our "picky eater" and also interesting enough for everyone else. The delicate balance was achieved successfully.
The evening was a joyful one, filled with memorable moments. Thank you Susan for such terrific service and expert care. All of your ideas and plans made a 50th anniversary something that will be remembered by both the couple and all of the family and friends who attended. I heard the couple say that nothing so special had ever been done for them and they felt more loved than they had ever felt. Such an exquisite gift after 50 years together.

You knew that this was more than just a group of friends sitting in front of a television set watching the Oscars from the moment you unrolled the invitation that was written on a roll of film...
A red carpet at the entrance welcomes you...
Pictures of each guest are digitally added to different movie poster images...
Movie memorabilia reflects the theme of the evening...
Delicious samples of hors d'oeuvres satisfy even the most finicky taste buds...
And of course, the evening is captured through a digital presentation showcasing all the guests in their best Oscars moments.
With her attention to details and to all her guests' needs, Susan always makes sure that her evenings will be fun and memorable!

Susan understands the need of creating your perfect event within your perfect budget; resourceful and efficient yet also unique and inventive. If the project was in Susan's hands, I never had any worry that it wouldn't be completed in time and that it would run smoothly, without a hitch.

As my wedding day approached, like most brides, I started feeling a bit overwhelmed. Susan immediately calmed my nerves by taking on the responsibility of organizing my bridal shower. I knew that in her able hands, an important task such as this would not be taken lightly.
With the guest list in hand and a few extra details, she created a beautiful set of handmade invitations for the event. My guests were enchanted with the final product and I made sure to credit Susan for her creativity and personal touch. Thank you Susan for your help!
